WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
TREATMENT, DEEP CONDITIONER, HAIR MASK, MASQUE:
They’re 3 terms imply that an intense interaction is occurring between the chosen product and your hair.
- Treatment – an application of remedies, or an intervention for a matter. Such as treatment for an addiction or other medical treatment. A treatment for hair implies the presence of a problem; the treatment therefore acts as the solution or intermediary.
- Deep Conditioner – a substance or cosmetic, applied to the hair to improve its condition.
- Hair mask/Masque- Hair masks are just as beneficial, if not more so, than regular conditioners. Unlike a typical conditioner that rests on the surface of a strand, a hair mask works its way inside the hair cuticle. While the ingredients boast repairing hair damage, regular application of a hair mask can impart shine, help with manageability, and work to nourish the cuticle.
On the other hand:
Deep Masque’s are a professional product. Salons can benefit from using it after a straightening hair treatment to cool down the hair. Additionally, masque’s will put the keratin and vitamins lost back into the hair that a lot of hair treatment processes compromise when the use of hot tools like flat irons, hair dryers are added to the process
